World Sleep Day 2023 is on Friday 17th March 2023.
The theme for World Sleep Day 2023 is 'Sleep is essential for health'.
World Sleep Day is an awareness day created by the World Sleep Society to promote the importance of sleep. Around the UK and the world, community health advocates are planning to arrange sleep awareness initiatives and champion the importance of proper rest.
There are two main ways you can get involved on World Sleep Day: by doing something yourself, and by promoting initiatives to others. If you're a manager or leader in an organisation, World Sleep Day is a great opportunity to make sure that your employees know about the importance of good sleep health, and that they have all the tools they need to start work feeling well rested. We've put together some resources and initiatives below that might be useful for both you and your teams.
In this webinar, Graham Landi — one of Spill’s therapists — will take a deep-dive into the link between sleep and mental health. By understanding how our mind affects our sleep, and our sleep can affect our mind, we’ll shed light on why it’s easy to spiral downwards and how addressing the root causes of poor sleep can have disproportionately positive knock-on effects. The talk will end with some practical tips and exercises — some surprising ones — for getting a better night’s sleep.

We’ve trawled through books, academic papers, the Internet — and drawn on the knowledge of our community of Spill therapists — to compile the ultimate set of tips and exercises for a great night’s sleep. Why? Because sleep and mental health are inextricably linked: when your mind is spinning it’s harder to get to sleep, and when you’re sleeping badly it affects how you feel.
If your company has Spill, anyone can book a session with one of our qualified therapists to:
1. Talk about your trouble sleeping and anything else going on at the moment
2. Explore and understand what might be behind sleep troubles
3. Get personalised guidance and tailored exercises
