Spill is a no-frills therapy service designed for small (and even tiny) businesses. We focus on outcomes, meaning on getting people going through a rough patch to cope better.
You can make a free account online in seconds and buy therapy sessions for one or two people, or the whole team — as many or as few sessions as you can afford.
Spill has next day sessions, including evening and weekends, in several languages and timezones. Our fully-qualified and UK-registered counsellors offer several dozen specialisms between them. Our proactive and preventative interventions mean you never have to worry about an employee falling through the cracks. And our admin tools give you visibility and control over usage and spending.

Alas no. Spill is designed to work with small companies to provide mental health support to their employees. If you are a free-lancer, you can always buy as a business and add yourself as the main employee 🙂

On all plans:
Spill is fully secure and all therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video therapy sessions are over an end-to-end encrypted video service and all messages to and from therapists are secure (they can only be unlocked and viewed by the user receiving them).
No data is visible to either Slack or MS Teams: those are portals used for authentication into our confidential online platform. Neither Spill nor the company paying for Spill will ever be able to access the content of Spill therapy sessions.
On the Starter plan:
Spill admins at the company may be able to cross reference their invoices with the knowledge of who they’ve offered access to the Starter Plan, used therapy, as this plan involves the admin sending therapy booking links to certain employees and sessions are then billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Admins won't ever know what users discuss with their therapist or be able to read any personal messages or notes. Apart from sessions attended, the company will only see information that employees specifically opt in to sharing, like feedback comments and mood scores.
On the Team plan:
Spill admins at the company can see the number of people who have used Spill, but no one at the company will know who has or hasn't accessed therapy, or be able to read any personal messages or notes. Apart from anonymous usage data, the company will only see information that employees specifically opt in to sharing, like feedback comments and mood scores.

All the therapists on Spill are fully qualified and registered (with the BACP, NCS, UKCP or equivalent) and have at least 200 hours of clinical experience.

People may talk about managing their mental health, whether it’s a rough patch or a longer-term condition like anxiety, depression, social phobia or even trauma.
They may also talk about the impact of commons life events, such as bereavement, divorce, financial difficulties, pregnancy, parenting and other life transitions.
Or they may use one off sessions to talk about the sorts of things we all have to deal with from time to time: perfectionism, low self confidence, impostor syndrome, burnout, and how to have better relationships with other people (work ones or otherwise).
We always strive to offer the best value, while still being able to hire the best counsellors and pay for their ongoing training and clinical supervision.
On the Starter Plan, you pay £90 per session used.
On the Team Plan, you pay £5 per employee per month and £65 for every session used. You can pay for the therapy pay-as-you-go, if you don’t mind varying monthly bills and don’t want to cap how much therapy you’re covering, or you can buy a fixed monthly therapy allowance.
On the Starter Plan, there's no monthly subscription and you pay £90 per therapy session actually used. This plan is best for helping a few specific employees.
On the Team Plan, you £5 per employee per month for access to the resources and the proactive care tools and £65 per therapy session actually used. This plan is best for supporting the whole company.

There is no contract on the Starter Plan and the Team Plan is a 30 days rolling contract.

Your admin dashboard lets you set individual therapy caps and team therapy budgets. And as part of clinical aftercare, we work with each client to find the best options for them, once they finish their free therapy sessions — whether it’s paying for further sessions themselves or finding support in their local area.
Yes, we don't want you to be paying more than you should. Therefore, Spill constantly monitors your monthly spend. If we see that you are consistently on a plan that isn't cost effective, we let you know in the admin dashboard and give you the ability to swap there and then.
