Proudly supporting asset management teams across the UK

The weight of managing other people's wealth
32% of chartered accountants have been diagnosed with or self-identified depression (caba, 2024), and the pressures across asset and wealth management are close cousins: market swings you can't control, client wealth on the line and benchmarks that measure you every quarter. That strain tends to stay hidden until it's serious.
Widespread burnout
74% of chartered accountants reported some form of burnout in the past year. (caba / ICAEW, 2024)
Depression diagnosed
32% of chartered accountants have been diagnosed with or self-identified depression. (caba, 2024)
Rethinking careers
41% say burnout has made them consider changing careers or leaving the profession. (caba, 2024)

FAQs
Start with three tests. Will people trust it enough to use it? Spill has no referral step and only ever shares aggregate data, so nobody at work knows who's booked a session. Will they get the right therapist? Spill matches people to specialists from the top 5% of counsellors, covering everything from performance anxiety to sleep. And can they keep going as long as they need? Spill has no session caps, and sessions are usually same-day. Teams at Nutmeg and Beringea use it, and it's the UK's highest rated EAP on Trustpilot. A traditional helpline EAP costs less upfront, but caps sessions at 6 to 8 and routes people through call centres, which is why usage typically sits at 3 to 5%.
£75 a month covers your whole firm, however many sessions people book. For a 30-person team, that's £2.50 per person per month, on a rolling 30 day contract with no setup fee and no lock-in. Traditional EAPs quote per head and cap sessions, so the comparison usually isn't close. Book a demo and we'll walk you through it.
Spill is an EAP built around therapy that people actually use. Your team books sessions through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, usually for the same day, with therapists available 7am to 9:30pm GMT, seven days a week, in 15+ languages. Every therapist sits in the top 5% of counsellors. It's fully confidential, and employers only see aggregate usage numbers.
Managing wealth means absorbing client anxiety on top of your own, especially when markets turn. Over time, that pressure surfaces as poor sleep, short tempers and quiet exits. It's no accident that 32% of chartered accountants report diagnosed or self-identified depression (caba, 2024). Spill gives your team a same-day outlet for that pressure, so it doesn't compound the way a bad quarter does.
Yes. Plenty of boutique wealth managers run Spill: there's no minimum team size, it launches in days, and £75 a month covers everyone. With a rolling 30 day contract, you're never committed beyond next month, which suits smaller firms watching every line of cost.
Turnover in financial and insurance activities runs at around 27% a year, and burnout is a leading driver. Spill gives staff confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for, which is linked to greater job satisfaction and longer tenure.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. We share aggregate usage data with the company (the number of people who have used Spill) but never names. Slack and MS Teams are only portals used to sign in to our confidential platform. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
