Spill's employee assistance programme (EAP) for recruitment and HR
HR and recruitment carry everyone else's hard days: the redundancies, the grievances, the personal crises. Then they're expected to champion wellbeing with nothing left in the tank themselves. With 54% of HR professionals burned out in the last five years, Spill exists to support the people team too, not just the people they support.
Same day counselling sessions
Rolling 30 day contract
Unlimited access from £75 per month

Proudly supporting recruitment and HR teams across the UK

Who supports the people team?
HR and recruitment professionals carry a distinctive emotional-labour burden. They absorb redundancies, grievances, performance exits and personal crises, while being expected to champion everyone else's wellbeing. Their own needs are too often left last.
HR burnout risk
48% of HR leaders say their teams are at risk of burnout. (Aconso, 2024)
Intention to leave
34% of HR professionals are considering leaving the sector within a year; 54% have burned out in the last five. (Personio, 2025)
Worse-than-average health
30% of people professionals say work negatively affects their mental and physical health. (CIPD, 2022)
Look after the people who look after everyone else
A third of HR professionals are thinking about leaving the profession within a year. Spill gives them real support, and a benefit they can roll out to the whole business knowing it actually gets used.

FAQs
People teams evaluate EAPs for a living, so the bar is higher. The things HR professionals consistently rate Spill on: employees actually use it (versus the 3 to 5% usage of helpline EAPs), it's genuinely confidential with no referral step, and it's easy to roll out and administer. Spill is the UK's highest rated EAP on Trustpilot, with unlimited, same-day counselling from £75 a month on a rolling 30 day contract. HR and hiring companies like CharlieHR, SmartRecruiters and Teamtailor use Spill with their own teams.
Spill starts at £75 per month for your whole team, on a rolling 30 day contract you can cancel with 30 days' notice. For a 20-person agency that works out at under £4 per employee per month, including unlimited counselling sessions. Traditional helpline EAPs often look cheaper per head but cap or exclude actual therapy, so the real cost per session used is usually far higher. To get a tailored quote, book a free 30 minute demo.
An EAP for recruitment and HR is a confidential mental health and wellbeing service that organisations provide to staff. A focused EAP (like Spill) should understand high targets, emotional labour and the strain of supporting others. Spill provides same-day counselling, self-guided resources and manager training, accessible at any time.
Recruiters face relentless targets and rejection. HR teams absorb redundancies, grievances and personal crises while championing everyone else's wellbeing. Personio found 54% of HR professionals have experienced burnout in the last five years. The people who support others often need support most.
With around a third of HR professionals considering leaving the sector within a year, retention matters. Spill gives staff confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for. And it's a benefit your people team can recommend to the wider business with confidence.
Yes. Spill works for boutique recruitment agencies and small in-house people teams as well as large firms, and you can be up and running within days. Pricing starts from £75 per month on a 30 day rolling contract, with no minimum staff number.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
