Spill's employee assistance programme (EAP) for cosmetic & aesthetic clinics
Patients arrive hoping to feel better about themselves, and it's your team who carries the weight of those hopes. Cosmetic and aesthetic work blends clinical skill with deeply personal emotional labour, and commercial targets sit on top of it all. Spill gives clinic staff same-day therapy that fits around treatment schedules, with counsellors who specialise in burnout and compassion fatigue, for £75 a month for the whole team.
Same day counselling sessions
Rolling 30 day contract

Proudly supporting clinic staff across the UK

When appearance work becomes emotional work
63% of trainee doctors are at moderate or high risk of burnout (GMC National Training Survey, 2024), and many aesthetic practitioners trained in that same system before moving into private practice. The pressure follows them: exacting patient expectations, appearance-related emotional work and revenue targets that never pause.
Burnout at work
30% of NHS staff often or always feel burnt out because of work, rising to nearly 40% of ambulance staff. (NHS Staff Survey, 2024)
Made unwell by stress
41% of NHS staff felt unwell in the past year as a result of work-related stress. (NHS Staff Survey, 2024)
Trainees at risk
63% of trainee doctors are at moderate or high risk of burnout. (GMC National Training Survey, 2024)
Why supported clinicians deliver better outcomes
Practitioners who feel steady handle difficult consultations and unrealistic expectations with more care. Supporting them properly also keeps your best injectors and therapists from moving on, protecting the client relationships your clinic is built on.
Protect against compassion fatigue
Help staff process the emotional weight of caring for others before it turns into exhaustion.
Keep minds on the job
Supported staff have more attention and patience for the people who depend on them.
Reduce mental health sick days
Same-day support helps issues get dealt with early, before they become absence.

FAQs
The best EAP for an aesthetic clinic should pass three tests: appointments that fit around treatment schedules, counsellors who understand emotionally loaded client work, and no caps or exclusions buried in the terms. Spill offers unlimited same-day sessions from 7am to 9:30pm, seven days a week, with counsellors in the top 5% nationally, including specialists in burnout and compassion fatigue, and pre-existing or severe cases are never excluded. It's the UK's highest rated EAP on Trustpilot. In the interests of honesty, a traditional helpline EAP costs less. It also caps care at 6 to 8 sessions, runs through call centres and sees roughly 3 to 5% usage, so most teams never feel the benefit at all.
Spill is £75 a month for your whole clinic, on a rolling 30 day contract. For a team of 20 across practitioners, therapists and front of house, that's £3.75 per person per month, with unlimited therapy and same-day appointments for everyone. One retained practitioner covers the cost many times over. Book a demo and we'll walk you through it.
An EAP gives your team confidential mental health support that the clinic pays for. With Spill, everyone gets unlimited therapy with counsellors in the top 5% nationally, booked via Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, usually for the same day. Sessions run from 7am to 9:30pm, seven days a week, in more than 15 languages, so early starts and late clinics don't stop anyone getting help when they need it.
Aesthetic work sits at an unusual intersection: clinical precision, other people's self-esteem and commercial targets, all in the same appointment. Managing a client's disappointment about their appearance is emotional labour of a particular kind, and it accumulates. With 63% of trainee doctors at moderate or high risk of burnout, many practitioners arrive in aesthetics already carrying strain. Same-day therapy helps them set it down before it costs them, or you.
Yes. Independent clinics are exactly who Spill works well for. There's no minimum team size, £75 a month covers the whole team, and you can be live within days. The rolling 30 day contract means a single-site clinic can start without any long commitment.
Poor staff health, wellbeing and turnover is estimated to cost the NHS over £12bn a year, and burnout is a leading reason clinicians leave. Spill gives staff confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for, which is linked to better retention and fewer mental health sick days.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. We share aggregate usage data with the company (the number of people who have used Spill) but never names. Slack and MS Teams are only portals used to sign in to our confidential platform. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
