Spill's employee assistance programme (EAP) for creative agencies
It's 11pm and the third round of revisions has just landed, with a note that the client 'isn't feeling it'. Subjective feedback, late nights and perfectionism make design and brand studios brilliant places to work and hard places to stay well. Spill gives creative teams unlimited counselling with same-day availability, from the top 5% of registered counsellors, booked in the tools you already use: Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email.
Same day counselling sessions
Rolling 30 day contract
Unlimited access from £75 per month

Proudly supporting creative teams across the UK

What makes studio life hard on mental health
Therapy referrals to industry charity NABS rose 50% year on year, according to NABS, 2022. Creative work asks people to put something personal into every brief, then watch it get picked apart in feedback. Over time, that cycle of exposure and critique chips away at even the most resilient designers.
Considered leaving
64% of advertising and media workers have considered leaving the industry because work harmed their wellbeing. (NABS & Mind)
Stigma persists
35% of agency staff feel unable to discuss mental wellness at work. (NABS All Ears, 2023)
Surging demand for help
Therapy referrals to industry charity NABS rose 50% year-on-year. (NABS, 2022)
How Spill supports creative studios

Self-guided wellbeing resources
A library of practical, evidence-based resources written by licensed therapists who understand the unique pressures agency workers face. Covering over 200 topics from burnout prevention to perfectionism and sleep, our online resources can be accessed at any time. They're a great first step for anyone who's not quite ready to speak to a counsellor directly.
Expert guidance and training
Practical, therapist-led training workshops designed to empower staff to spot mental health presentations within nurseries, schools and universities and know how to appropriately respond. Teachers can also check in with a Spill safeguarding clinician for advice at any time.

FAQs
For a design or brand studio, the best EAP is one that feels made for creative people rather than a call centre script. Spill matches employees with therapists from the top 5% of registered counsellors, available same day, 7am to 9:30pm GMT, seven days a week, with no cap on sessions and therapy in 15+ languages. It's the UK's highest rated EAP on Trustpilot, used by 30,000+ employees at companies including R/GA and IDEO. If you simply need a helpline for compliance, traditional EAPs exist and cost less. But with usage at 3 to 5% and caps of 6 to 8 sessions, they rarely help the people who need them.
Spill is £75 a month for the whole studio. For a 12-person team, that's £6.25 per person per month for unlimited counselling, same-day availability and booking through Slack or Teams. There's no lock-in either: the contract rolls monthly with 30 days' notice, unlike traditional EAPs that ask for 2 to 5 years. Book a demo to see it in action.
Spill is a workplace mental health benefit designed for teams like design and brand studios. It gives every employee unlimited counselling sessions with therapists in the top 5% of registered counsellors, available the same day, 7am to 9:30pm GMT, seven days a week. People book through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, and therapy is available in 15+ languages. The whole team is covered for £75 a month.
Subjective feedback, late-night revisions and perfectionism create a particular kind of strain: people tie their self-worth to work that someone else gets to judge. The industry is feeling it, with therapy referrals to NABS rising 50% year on year, according to NABS, 2022. When a studio gives people fast, unlimited access to a therapist, that strain gets dealt with before it becomes burnout or a resignation.
Yes, small studios are exactly who Spill suits. There's no minimum team size, setup takes days rather than weeks, and £75 a month covers everyone. Because the contract rolls every 30 days, a small studio isn't gambling on a multi-year commitment.
Agency turnover ran at 24% across IPA member agencies in 2024. Spill gives your team confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for, which is linked to greater job satisfaction and longer tenure. That keeps your best people.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. We share aggregate usage data with the company (the number of people who have used Spill) but never names. Slack and MS Teams are only portals used to sign in to our confidential platform. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
