Spill's employee assistance programme (EAP) for financial advisors
Financial advisers spend all day being the calm one. They absorb client panic when markets fall, carry a compliance burden that grows every year, and many of them do it alone, without colleagues to offload to. Spill gives advisory teams someone in their corner: same-day therapy with top 5% counsellors, fully confidential with no referral step, from £75 a month for the whole firm.
Same day counselling sessions
Rolling 30 day contract
Unlimited access from £75 per month

Proudly supporting advisory teams across the UK

The quiet pressures of advising on money
32% of chartered accountants have been diagnosed with or self-identified depression (caba, 2024), and advisers sit in the same storm: volatile markets, anxious clients and a compliance workload that never shrinks. For solo advisers especially, there's often nobody to talk to about any of it.
Widespread burnout
74% of chartered accountants reported some form of burnout in the past year. (caba / ICAEW, 2024)
Depression diagnosed
32% of chartered accountants have been diagnosed with or self-identified depression. (caba, 2024)
Rethinking careers
41% say burnout has made them consider changing careers or leaving the profession. (caba, 2024)

FAQs
Three criteria matter most. Confidentiality: in a close-knit firm, advisers won't use anything that involves a referral step or names being shared, so Spill removes both and reports aggregate data only. Matching: an adviser wrestling with client anxiety and compliance stress needs the right specialist, and Spill matches from the top 5% of counsellors. No caps: recovery doesn't fit a six-session limit, so Spill sessions are unlimited and usually same-day, bookable through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email. CLS Financial Advice and 2plan Wealth Management both use Spill, the UK's highest rated EAP on Trustpilot. A traditional helpline EAP costs less on paper, but call centres and 6 to 8 session caps mean usage typically sits at 3 to 5%, so hardly anyone benefits.
Spill is £75 a month for the whole firm, whatever people use. For a 15-person practice, that's £5 per person per month, with unlimited sessions and same-day availability included. The contract rolls every 30 days, so there's no lock-in and no setup fee. Book a demo and we'll show you what your advisers would see, and answer any questions along the way.
Spill is an EAP where therapy is the product, not a bolt-on. Everyone in your firm can book a session through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, usually for the same day. Therapists are drawn from the top 5% of counsellors and work 7am to 9:30pm GMT, seven days a week, in 15+ languages. It's fully confidential: no referral step, aggregate-only data.
Advisers absorb their clients' financial anxiety and rarely put it down. Add compliance pressure and, for many, the isolation of working solo, and the toll is real: 32% of chartered accountants report diagnosed or self-identified depression (caba, 2024). Spill gives advisers a confidential place to process it all, the same day they reach out, before it affects health or client work.
Yes. Many Spill customers are small practices: there's no minimum team size, and £75 a month covers everyone, even a firm of three. Setup takes days, and the rolling 30 day contract means you can stop whenever you like. Firms with solo advisers often benefit most.
Turnover in financial and insurance activities runs at around 27% a year, and burnout is a leading driver. Spill gives staff confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for, which is linked to greater job satisfaction and longer tenure.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. We share aggregate usage data with the company (the number of people who have used Spill) but never names. Slack and MS Teams are only portals used to sign in to our confidential platform. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
