Spill's employee assistance programme (EAP) for investment banking
It's 1am and the deck still isn't done. Investment banking runs on extreme hours, live deals and a performance culture that doesn't leave much room for admitting you're struggling. Spill fits that reality: same-day therapy sessions, available 7am to 9:30pm GMT seven days a week, and completely confidential, with no referral step and no names shared. It's £75 a month for the whole team.
Same day counselling sessions
Rolling 30 day contract
Unlimited access from £75 per month

Proudly supporting investment bankers across the UK

What deal pressure does to investment banking teams
Turnover in financial and insurance activities runs at around 27% a year (CIPD / ONS, 2024). In investment banking the drivers are obvious: extreme hours, live deal pressure and a culture where asking for help can feel like a career risk. People don't burn out slowly here, they burn out fast.
Widespread burnout
74% of chartered accountants reported some form of burnout in the past year. (caba / ICAEW, 2024)
Depression diagnosed
32% of chartered accountants have been diagnosed with or self-identified depression. (caba, 2024)
Rethinking careers
41% say burnout has made them consider changing careers or leaving the profession. (caba, 2024)
Why investment banks pick Spill
Replacing an analyst or associate is expensive and slow, and tired bankers make expensive mistakes. Spill helps people stay sharp through deal cycles, which protects both your retention numbers and the quality of the work going to clients.

FAQs
Confidentiality decides everything in this industry. If anyone suspects that using the EAP could get back to a staffer or MD, nobody touches it. The best EAP for an investment bank has no referral step and shares only aggregate data, matches people to therapists who understand high-pressure careers, and never caps sessions mid-treatment. Spill does all of this, with same-day sessions bookable through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, therapists available 7am to 9:30pm GMT seven days a week, and the UK's highest Trustpilot rating of any EAP. Teams at GP Bullhound and Vitruvian Partners already use it. A traditional helpline EAP will quote you less, but with 6 to 8 session caps and call centres, usage typically sits at 3 to 5%.
Spill is £75 a month for the whole team on a rolling 30 day contract. For a 50-person team, that's £1.50 per person per month, with unlimited sessions rather than a 6 to 8 session cap. There's no setup fee and nothing locks you in. Compare that with the cost of one analyst resignation and the maths is short. Book a demo to see it in action.
Spill is therapy your whole bank can actually use. Anyone on the team books a session directly through Slack, MS Teams, SMS or email, often for the same day, with therapists from the top 5% of counsellors. Sessions run 7am to 9:30pm GMT, seven days a week, in 15+ languages. There's no referral step, and you only ever see aggregate usage data.
Extreme hours and deal pressure don't just tire people out, they push good bankers out of the industry. Turnover in financial and insurance activities runs at around 27% a year (CIPD / ONS, 2024), and every departure means lost deal knowledge and months of rehiring. Spill gives people a confidential place to offload before the pressure turns into a resignation letter, with sessions that fit around live deals.
Yes. Boutique advisory firms use Spill alongside larger banks: there's no minimum headcount, setup takes days, and it's £75 a month for the whole team on a rolling 30 day contract. Small teams often feel deal pressure hardest, so early support matters more, not less.
Turnover in financial and insurance activities runs at around 27% a year, and burnout is a leading driver. Spill gives staff confidential, unlimited support that makes them feel genuinely cared for, which is linked to greater job satisfaction and longer tenure.
Yes. Spill's counselling is available the same day, including evenings and weekends, because plenty of people don't work standard office hours. Our therapists are available from as early as 7am GMT to as late as 9:30pm GMT, 7 days a week, with no health assessments, waiting lists or call-backs. Employees can access support via SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email and book from their phone in a few clicks.
Spill offers therapy sessions in 15+ languages, so your team can speak freely with a counsellor that understands them best. Employees choose their preferred language from a drop-down when they book a session. We currently cover Armenian, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Tagalog and Ukrainian. We're adding to this list all the time, so let us know if you have a request.
Yes, Spill operates in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Spill is fully secure and therapy sessions are strictly confidential. Video sessions run on an end-to-end encrypted service and all messages to and from therapists are secure. We share aggregate usage data with the company (the number of people who have used Spill) but never names. Slack and MS Teams are only portals used to sign in to our confidential platform. No session content is ever visible to them, to Spill, or to your company.
